Our 9-day Tanzania Safari and Cultural Activities was created for the adventurous traveler looking for an intimate encounter in African culture while still enjoying a wildlife safari.
On this 9-day safari, you’ll see some of Africa’s most stunning wildlife parks, including the lesser-known Tarangire and Lake Manyara, the iconic Serengeti, and the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, as well as Hadzabe Land at Lake Eyasi. Immerse yourself in wildlife and see the world’s greatest overland migration.

Day 1 : Arrival

Day 2 : Arusha - Tarangire National Park
Your Safari start here. Your safari guide will pick you from your hotel and drive through local settlements including the Maasai tribe with great views of of mount Meru which is 4,566m a second highest mountain in Africa. Your drive to Tarangire will take about 3 hours. On arrival at the Tarangire park gate , your safari guide will assist on registration process for you. Tarangire is known to have Tsetse fly so your ae advised to wear long sleeve shirts and trousers. Breakfast at your hotel, drive to Tarangire Treetops arrive in time for lunch. Tarangire National Park is named after the Tarangire River which attracts a wide range of plains game in the area which making it a park rich in-game. The afternoon game drives until sunset. Meals and overnight at Tarangire Treetops.

Day 3 : Full Game Drive at Tarangire National Park
After breakfast continue with your game drive in the park searching for wildlife along Tarangire River where animals migrate from the Maasai steppe looking for water. Tarangire has the largest population of Elephants than any park in the Northern Tanzania. Birds lovers should know that Tarangire host up to 550 varieties of bird including The Kori Bustard – the heaviest flying bird. Get your camera ready for the great day in Tarangire Park. Breakfast at the lodge. Another full-day game drives at Tarangire taking advantage of rich wildlife available in the area. Meals and overnight at Tarangire Treetops.

Day 4 : Lake ManyaraNational Park
After your breakfast you will head north to Lake Manyara National Park. It’s about 1 hour drive from the lodge. Lake Manyara National is at the foot of the Great Rift Valley. The park is named after the soda lake in the middle of the park. The park is famous for its tree Climbing lions, great bird life and the breading lessor flamingos. Lake Manyara safari is a fascinating experience as the park also features a ground-water forest; acacia tortilis woodland and Hot springs called “Maji Moto”. At the evening drive to the lodge. Dinner and Overnight at Lake Eyasi Safari lodge. All meals included.

Day 5 : Lake Eyasi
After early cup of coffee, with parked breakfast drive to Bushmen ‘Hadzabe’ area. This morning you will be introduced to the extraordinary people who belong to an indigenous tribe known as the ‘Hadzabe’ (hunter-gatherer Bushmen). Then after you will have luck to participate with them in local hunting with bow arrow. After hunting it will be a good time for you to enjoy your bush breakfast. Lake Eyasi is a very scenic soda lake found on the southern border of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This less visited lake lies at the base of the Eyasi escarpment on the western rift valley wall. The tribe inhabits the lake shores. After breakfast short drive to visit the Nilotic-speaking Datoga tribe who deals with animal keeping and iron smith. This will be very good time for you to learn and participate in local activities around their villages include iron meting and grind maize by using stone and many other activities. Then drive back to the lodge for rest and waiting for hot lunch. Lake Eyasi area is the best for onion growing in East Africa, so after lunch you will head to onion plantations and you can learn how they do farming, and this will be end of your extraordinary life experience. Evening drive to the lodge for dinner and Dinner and Overnight at Bougainville lodge. All meals included

Day 6 : Serengeti National Park
Today you will leave the rift valley area and drive to Serengeti national park from the north. The drive will take about 4 hours to lobo area with bumpy and dust road. You will drive through Maasai settlements co existing with wildlife and across the Salei plains and finally to the western Serengeti. Breakfast at the Camp then drive to Serengeti after crossing the rift valley escarpment. The real meaning of the Serengeti “endless plains in Masai language will be evident to you” Serengeti is the only place in the world that almost 1.8 million wildebeest undertake a circuit of 1,000 Kms. with other animals like zebras , Thompson gazelle and the like. You will stay in Serengeti for two nights. Option for a balloon ride experience in Serengeti. Time to witness the so called “ Serengeti Wildebeest Migration” Picnic lunch and game drive en route. Arrive at your camp late afternoon Meals and overnight at Matawi Tented Camp

Day 7 : Ful Game Drive at Serengeti National Park
Another day in Serengeti with full day game drives exploring different areas of the vast North-Western Serengeti plains which attract over a million wildebeest and zebra between June and September. Get ready for unforgettable experience with wildlife action. Picnic lunch en-route. Late evening return back to the camp. Meals and overnight at Matawi Tented Camp

Day 8 : Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Area
Sunrise game drives start at 06:00 am till 11:00 am. When you’ll stop for Brunch (Breakfast and lunch put together) After Brunch departs for the Ngorongoro Crater with game drive en-route. On the way you have some option, you can visit some Maasai village OR Olduvai gorge. These will cost you extra. Dinner and Overnight at the lodge.

Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
Ngorongoro crater/Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO) Rise early for breakfast before you spend a full day exploring the crater floor. The area is world-renowned in its reputation and very small in its scale, so you will see other safari-goers. Don’t let that distract you from the beauty of the place or from the fact that this remains one of the only places on earth where you may see all of the Big Five at once: Lion, Leopard, Bull Elephant, African Buffalo, and Black Rhino. To maximize your time on the crater floor you will enjoy a special boxed lunch at a scenic picnic spot. Your journey will take you throughout this tremendous landscape that is constantly changing as animals move to and fro in search of pasture, water, or east prey. In the evening descend out of the crater and drive back to Arusha/Kilimanjaro airport for your flight back home.
